Merry Christmas!
December 24, 2007
I've finally done it!
We the Sheep has a new home after all these years, and what a job it was! I had to go through all the files and make sure the image tags were correct, that the script thingys were doing thier thing and all that stuff...and it was a real trip through the past, because I caught myself reading bits and peices of the commentaries as I went along.
I noticed for one thing, we as a society haven't changed at all, if anything we've regressed somewhat. What a pity seeing one of the greatest nations in human history slowly slide backwards into the ash-heap of civilizations past as we fool ourselves into thinking everything's status-quo...
I'm sure there'll be a rude awakening someday soon along with the great outcry, which will be "Oh WHY didn't we do something sooner??", as is always the case as cities are burning and invaders are running through the villages looting, pillaging and killing. Hindsight is always 20/20, and the near-sighted society will be in for a little visual clarity here in the near future.
Anyway, there's been a few subtle changes here at the Sheep since we've landed at Netallurgy's servers, and you'll instantly notice one huge difference right away...no ads!! Oh how sweet it is!
I've also streamlined a number of things to allow a little faster loading times, hopefully for visitors, this hasn't been a real issue in the past, but I was always aware of it, and it always bugged me. So I'm happy with it and I'm pretty sure all the Sheep's visitors will be as well.
Some changes of note; the Quotes section was gone over and cleaned up, except for the archived Quotes, since I have made a point of leaving the original Sheep pages as intact as possible. The Beer Quotes page was added as well, and seriously, what's a Quote section without Beer Quotes? Also, on the links page, I'll be offering a small "got sheep?" banner there soon for anyone who would like to advertise the Sheep on thier site. It's a nice little image that'll sit on a side bar quietly, just doing it's thing...as if images do anything other than just sit there...but you know what I mean.
So I'll still be making some changes here and there, nothing real dramatic though, but as always, check back to see the latest.
I guess we can look at this like it's a little Christmas present to all the Sheep loyalists who have made it a point to frequent these pages, and to the new visitors, I hope you enjoy your visit and hopefully you too will join thier ranks.
And at this time, I'd like to wish each of you and your loved ones a warm and safe Christmas and a healthy and prosperous New Year.
